Welcome to Palm Sunday!
We are opening things up (zoom…youtube and facebook) from 10.15 so you can gather, meet and chat from then onwards. We will kick off properly at 10.30. Bear with us if there are any tech problems. I will run everything from my laptop though, so even if facebook and youtube stop working, zoom itself will continue.

from 10.15. Make sure you read the rest of this page if you haven’t yet!
You’ll need one or two things to get going. It depends on how you would like to interact.
Just watch
All you need is YouTube. before 10.15 I will be sharing the link to the youtube feed on facebook. The same once the feed is working on facebook!
If you have a YouTube account already, then you can join in with the chat window – there may be a bit of a delay and if you really want to interact, then I recommend ZOOM.
find the youtube channel by searching for ‘PJchurch online‘. After 10am, click on the videos tab (it may be even on the home page tab) and you should see waiting screen/video or me moving in the back ground.
You can even watch YouTube on your TV! If you have a more recent television which connects to the internet – if you get Amazon prime video or Netflix, then you certainly do. You might also do so if you can watch iPlayer from the BBC or watch on catchup. Have a look in your apps on your television and look to see if there is the YouTube app. If there is, then you can find the service at….
OR
You can watch on Facebook. Again, you can leave comments, but we may not see them in time. There is about a twenty second delay because of how Facebook works. We will share the link as soon as we go live: it will be shared from my Revdjpriest page, and we will put it everywhere we can!
OR
There is zoom…
Join in and watch the leader by zoom
This experiment is a bit ‘suck it and see’ – read below to see why the experiment.
Be seen and heard!
If you join us via the zoom app, then you will be seen and heard. If you enable the microphone and the camera on your device, then we can see and hear you. The only thing we would ask is that you mute your microphone whilst the leader is speaking once we start. Until then, feel free to chat (although it can be funny when everyone is trying to get a word in! Try to be patient).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because we are streaming to YouTube, everyone who is seen and heard on zoom will also appear on YouTube. If you do not want this, then it is your responsibility to make sure that your mic and camera are off, or simply to watch the YouTube stream. By joining in via zoom, it is assumed that you have accepted this in accordance with GDPR.
If you don’t appear and would have liked to, don’t worry. The app will at a maximum show 49 people at any one time. And because we want to see clearly whoever is leading, I may have to crop some of the zoom window.
You can get even more interactive!
First, there is the chat window on YouTube, as I have mentioned. There is also a chat option on Zoom. You can choose to message someone privately; you tap the person you would like to message – and then no one else will see what you are saying.
But you could also use either Whatsapp or messenger in Facebook and set up a group together with people you see.
You could even group video chat a small group on Facebook… but that might turn off zoom if you are watching on there!
In cafe-church, we spend quite some time talking together and interacting. The only risk in doing this in smaller groups is that someone gets left out. Don’t feel left out! Use the zoom or YouTube chat to talk to everyone and we will make sure someone is there.
Now onto the good bit… downloads!
This is the first, it is a Bible chat mat. A new thing from the diocese which is made to help you have conversations about the story and get deep into it. There are all sorts of things hidden in the pictures, along with some questions to talk about either at home, in families or in groups. Use what’s app, or your messenger group to discuss the questions.

(if the link fails to load because it is a PDF, try this one… it is a picture file so SHOULD work)
Second, there are some instructions on how to make palm crosses.

You can download the instructions and print them off from here.
And thirdly – though we are going to show this live on Sunday – here is a link to the Palm Sunday story.
I hope all of that makes sense! If not, then email me or message me.
